Jackie is the founder and principal at Ceiba Advisory, a boutique consulting practice that assists families on issues related to long term legacy, governance, multi-generation engagement and grantmaking.
Building on 30 years of experience in the nonprofit and philanthropy sectors, Jackie helps clients accomplish their short- and long-term goals, while maintaining a pragmatic approach to the advisory process.
Prior to Ceiba, Jackie was a Managing Director and Senior Philanthropy Advisor at JPMorgan Private Bank where she advised families and organized educational forums that offered peer learning opportunities for the most significant philanthropists around the world. Before J.P. Morgan, Jackie had roles at the New York Community Trust, The Boston Foundation, and the Ibero-American Action League.
A native of Guatemala, Jackie has lived in New York most of her life and currently resides there with her husband and daughter.
Margot “Meg” Bunn has worked in banking and philanthropy for more than 15 years. She joined Ceiba Advisory in March 2026 in the role of Consultant and currently is assigned as Program Officer on two client relationships.
In her role as Program Officer, Meg manages day to day communications with grantees and handles all elements of due diligence and reporting on nearly $20M in annual grants.
Prior to joining Ceiba Advisory, Meg was a member of Curi Capital’s Family Office Services team where she served as a relationship manager and philanthropy advisor. As a relationship manager, Meg worked with some of the firm’s largest and most complex multi-generational clients to help them reach their goals around preserving, growing, and transferring wealth. Meg also advised clients on best practices in charitable giving including entity selection, mission and vision development, governance, succession planning, and foundation administration.
Meg started her career at J.P.Morgan Private Bank as a banking analyst and subsequently was promoted to Vice President with a focus on the fiduciary and philanthropy related business. In addition to assisting with major client relationships, Meg managed the J.P.Morgan Charitable Giving Fund, a $1BN+ donor-advised fund program serving clients across the United States.
Meg holds an A.B. in Religion and Gender and Women's Studies from Bowdoin College, and an MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business. She is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). Meg resides in Brooklyn with her family.
Casey Castañeda has worked in the philanthropy and nonprofit sectors for over 20 years, focusing on effective program and infrastructure planning and implementation. She joined Ceiba Advisory as a Senior Consultant in 2022.
Casey currently serves as Operations & Program Director for a client foundation, where she oversees daily administrative operations and works closely with the Trustees and Senior Advisor to execute on key elements of program planning, governance, accounting, investments and technology infrastructure. Prior to her current role, Casey was the Chief Operating Officer of Farm Sanctuary, a national nonprofit working to address the negative effects of the industrial food system in the U.S.
Casey has deep experience in working with and advising families and decision-makers on grantmaking, administrative, and operational needs of private foundations. Casey was an Executive Director at J.P.Morgan Private Bank where she was the head of the Private Foundation Services team, which managed over $200M in annual grantmaking. She also worked as a program officer and advisor to a NYC-based family office.
Casey earned an MPA from Baruch College, City University of New York, and BAs in Journalism and Spanish from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She currently serves on the boards of the Partners for Health Foundation and the Support Center for Nonprofit Management. Casey resides in New Jersey with her husband and two children.
Maggie Cohen brings a decade of experience spanning the nonprofit, business, and government sectors. She joined Ceiba Advisory in August 2025 in the role of Consultant.
Maggie currently serves as Program Officer for a client foundation where she assists with all aspects of the day-to-day implementation of a $30M+ grantmaking portfolio. Maggie conducts research and due diligence, administration, and grants management in partnership with fellow team members and the foundation’s Trustees. She also helps to manage the training and preparation of the next-generation of family board members.
Prior to Ceiba Advisory, Maggie was Program Manager at the Barbara Lee Family Foundation and Political Office, where she managed organization-wide programming, partnerships, and strategic grantmaking to advance women’s political representation. She previously managed policy research and analysis for the Boston-based government relations firm Kearney, Donovan & McGee, and worked for the Massachusetts Office of the Child Advocate.
Maggie holds an MBA focused on Social Impact from Boston University and a BA in Government from Colby College. She lives in the Boston area.
Bree Cohn has worked in philanthropy advising for over 20 years helping families focused on giving in the United States, United Kingdom, Israel, and Europe. Bree joined Ceiba Advisory in July 2023 and is a Senior Consultant.
Bree currently serves as Senior Program Officer for a client foundation focused on strengthening career connected learning in New York City public schools. In that capacity, Bree manages the day-to-day implementation of major investments in the foundation’s portfolio and works in partnership with the President and Senior Advisor on all elements of due diligence on prospective grantees.
Bree is the founder of BPC Advisory and served as Program Officer at the Philanthropy Advisory Group. In those roles she advised foundation clients on diverse issues including establishing new foundations, giving overseas, and managing competitive medical research grants. Prior to working in philanthropy advising, Bree worked at the White House Project, a nonprofit that aimed to advance women in business, politics, and media, and was a corps member of Teach for America.
Bree earned an MPA from the Wagner School of Public Service at NYU, where she studied International Policy and Management. She earned a B.A. in Political Science and Communication at the University of Southern California. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and daughter.
Brianna Lawless brings over a decade of experience in philanthropy advising, private foundation management and nonprofit governance. She joined Ceiba Advisory in March 2023 in the role of Consultant.
Brianna currently serves as Program Officer for a client foundation, overseeing a $30M+ grantmaking portfolio across a wide range of areas of interest. In addition to assisting on the day-to-day management of grantmaking and grants management, Brianna works closely with the client’s Senior Advisor to manage the preparation and training of the next generation of Trustees.
Prior to joining Ceiba Advisory, Brianna was the Director of Programs at The 1434 Foundation, a Boston-based private family foundation focused on the arts, education, youth development, and food and agriculture. Brianna oversaw the Foundation’s grantmaking portfolio and the administration of a college scholarship program.
Brianna serves on the advisory board of Women’s Money Matters, a women’s financial education and empowerment organization. Brianna also volunteers with Last Hope K9 Rescue, an all-breed dog rescue.
Brianna earned a B.A. in Classics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She resides in Boston with her husband and two dogs, Pennie and August, plus the occasional foster dog.
